Select Courses to Fit Your Professional Development Plan
Economics Center courses are designed in three program plans. Each "plan" is a series of courses that are linked by grade level, academic content and/or theme. Each plan provides opportunities for a focused profesional development experience. Select two or more courses within a plan to include within your Individual Professional Development Plan. The three Center program plans for 2007-08 are:
Plan #1: Basic Economics Content - Focus on the Ohio Academic Content Standards.
Plan #2: Improving Instruction and Assessment.
Plan #3: Thematic Units of Instruction - Cross Curricular Instruction.
Plan #4: Hot Topics - Current Issues.
Participating in a series of "courses" as part of a "plan" is consistent with "No Child Left Behind" guidelines. Saturday and evening sessions are scheduled individually to provide scheduling flexibility for individuals. We anticipate that many educators will participate in multiple sessions as part of a "plan."
